Morocco Itinerary 5 Days: Marrakech, Desert and Coast

Day 1–2: Marrakech

Spend a day and a half in Marrakech. Day 1: arrive, settle in, and perhaps explore the medina and Jemaa el-Fnaa in the evening. Day 2: dive into the souks, visit the Koutoubia, Bahia Palace, or Jardin Majorelle, and consider a Agafay desert sunset for a first taste of "desert" without the long drive. Day 3–4: Morocco Desert Tour

For 6–7 days total, the Merzouga desert tour is ideal—taller dunes and more time in the Sahara. Day 5: Return or Essaouira

If you did Zagora, day 5 is back in Marrakech—use it for last-minute souk shopping, a Ouzoud or Ourika Valley day trip from Marrakech, or rest before your flight.
